Lessons are individually tailored to students of all ages and levels. Before commitment to weekly lessons, all potential new students are requested to do a phone interview and piano assessment. Length of lesson times vary between 30 / 45 / 60 minutes.
Currently piano (private and group classes), theory, and piano pedagogy lessons are offered either hybrid (alternating weekly between in-person and online) or online.
If student or a family member has been exposed to COVID-19/showing symptoms, lesson will be rescheduled to take place online during that day/week. To maintain a safe and healthy learning environment in-person, all students are requested to please wear face masks and wash hands thoroughly upon arrival. The studio piano keys will be cleaned and sanitized between each student’s lesson.
Tuition is charged by monthly installments and is non-refundable. Please note student books and materials are not included as part of tuition. Payment is due on the 1st week of the month. If payment is overdue, a late fee will be applied. It is expected that students will commit to their studies for the entire school year. If there is any reason the student decides to withdraw from lessons, please send one month notice in advance, or a full tuition will still be charged. Thank you for your understanding.
Missed lessons due to emergency matters (e.g. sickness, inclement weather) may count towards a make up lesson online. There is no make up lesson or refund for any last minute cancellations (notification less than 24 hours) and missed lessons. If the teacher is absent due work event or emergency matters, lessons will either be rescheduled or credited.
Performance opportunities (i.e. annual studio recitals) will be available to all students. With the exception of piano studio classes being hosted at a performance venue or in collaboration with a workshop session, periodic studio classes are generally included in the tuition.
